You have the right to obtain information free of charge at any time about the origin, recipient and purpose of your stored personal data. You also have the right to request the rectification or erasure of this data. If you have given your consent to data processing, you may withdraw this consent at any time with effect for the future. You also have the right, under certain circumstances, to request restriction of the processing of your personal data. Furthermore, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.
You can contact us at any time about this and any other questions on the subject of data protection.

Where we request your consent, processing is based exclusively on Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG, insofar as the consent includes the storage of cookies or access to information on the user’s device (e.g. device fingerprinting) within the meaning of the TDDDG. 3. General Information and Mandatory Information
Data protection
The operators of this website take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with statutory data protection regulations and this Privacy Policy.
When you use this website, various personal data will be collected. Personal data means data which can be used to personally identify you. This Privacy Policy explains which data we collect and what we use it for. It also explains how and for what purpose this is done.
Please note that data transmission over the internet (e.g. communication by email) can have security gaps. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.
Information on the Controller
The controller responsible for data processing on this website is:
Sarah Wettengel
Heideweg 1
97896 Freudenberg
Germany
Email: kontakt@active-paws-academy.de
The controller is the natural or legal person who, alone or jointly with others, determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data (e.g. names, email addresses, etc.).
Storage period
Unless a more specific storage period has been mentioned in this Privacy Policy, your personal data will remain with us until the purpose for the data processing no longer applies. If you make a legitimate request for erasure or withdraw your consent to data processing, your data will be erased, unless we have other legally permissible reasons for storing your personal data (e.g. retention periods under tax or commercial law); in the latter case, erasure will take place once these reasons no longer apply.
General information on the legal bases for data processing on this website
If you have given your consent to data processing, we process your personal data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and, where special categories of data under Art. 9(1) GDPR are processed, on the basis of Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR. In the event of express consent to the transfer of personal data to third countries, data processing is also based on Art. 49(1)(a) GDPR. If you have consented to the storage of cookies or access to information on your device (e.g. via device fingerprinting), data processing is additionally based on § 25(1) TDDDG. Consent may be withdrawn at any time.
If your data is required for contract performance or for the implementation of pre-contractual measures, we process your data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. If your data is required for compliance with a legal obligation, we process it on the basis of Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR. Data may also be processed on the basis of our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The relevant legal basis in each individual case is explained in the following sections of this Privacy Policy.
Recipients of personal data
In the course of our business activities, we work with various external parties. In some cases, this also requires the transfer of personal data to these third parties. We only pass on personal data if this is necessary for the performance of a contract, if we are legally obliged to do so (e.g. transfer of data to tax authorities), if we have a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR in the transfer or if another legal basis permits the data transfer. When using processors, we only transfer personal data of our customers on the basis of a valid data processing agreement. In the case of joint processing, a joint controller agreement is concluded.
Withdrawal of your consent to data processing
Many data processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You may withdraw any consent already given at any time. The lawfulness of the data processing carried out prior to the withdrawal remains unaffected.
Right to object to processing in special cases and to direct marketing (Art. 21 GDPR)
IF DATA PROCESSING IS CARRIED OUT ON THE BASIS OF ART. 6(1)(E) OR (F) GDPR, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT AT ANY TIME, ON GROUNDS RELATING TO YOUR PARTICULAR SITUATION, TO THE PROCESSING OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA, INCLUDING PROFILING BASED ON THESE PROVISIONS. THE RELEVANT LEGAL BASIS FOR PROCESSING IN EACH CASE IS SET OUT IN THIS PRIVACY POLICY. IF YOU OBJECT, WE WILL NO LONGER PROCESS YOUR PERSONAL DATA, UNLESS WE CAN DEMONSTRATE COMPELLING LEGITIMATE GROUNDS FOR THE PROCESSING WHICH OVERRIDE YOUR INTERESTS, RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS OR THE PROCESSING SERVES THE ESTABLISHMENT, EXERCISE OR DEFENCE OF LEGAL CLAIMS (OBJECTION PURSUANT TO ART. 21(1) GDPR).
WHERE YOUR PERSONAL DATA IS PROCESSED FOR DIRECT MARKETING PURPOSES, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT AT ANY TIME TO PROCESSING OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA FOR SUCH MARKETING, INCLUDING PROFILING TO THE EXTENT THAT IT IS RELATED TO SUCH DIRECT MARKETING. IF YOU OBJECT, YOUR PERSONAL DATA WILL THEREAFTER NO LONGER BE USED FOR DIRECT MARKETING PURPOSES (OBJECTION PURSUANT TO ART. 21(2) GDPR).
Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
In the event of a breach of the GDPR, data subjects have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of their habitual residence, place of work or place of the alleged breach. The right to lodge a complaint exists without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedies.
Right to data portability
You have the right to receive data which we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in fulfilment of a contract, in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format or to have it transmitted to another controller, where technically feasible.
Right of access, rectification and erasure
Within the scope of applicable statutory provisions, you have the right at any time to free access to your stored personal data, its origin and recipients and the purpose of the data processing, and, where applicable, a right to rectification or erasure of this data. You can contact us at any time about this and any further questions on the subject of personal data.
Right to restriction of processing
You have the right to request the restriction of processing of your personal data. You can contact us at any time to do so. The right to restriction of processing exists in the following cases:
If you contest the accuracy of your personal data stored by us, we usually need time to verify this. For the duration of the verification, you have the right to request restriction of processing of your personal data.
If the processing of your personal data was/is carried out unlawfully, you may request restriction of processing instead of erasure.
If we no longer need your personal data, but you require it for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims, you have the right to request restriction of processing instead of erasure.
If you have lodged an objection pursuant to Art. 21(1) GDPR, a balancing of your and our interests must take place. As long as it has not yet been determined whose interests prevail, you have the right to request restriction of processing of your personal data.
If you have restricted the processing of your personal data, such data may – apart from being stored – only be processed with your consent, or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims, or for the protection of the rights of another natural or legal person, or for reasons of important public interest of the European Union or of a Member State.
SSL or TLS encryption
For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or enquiries you send to us as the site operator, this site uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the lock symbol in your browser line.
If SSL or TLS encryption is activated, data that you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.
Objection to marketing emails
We hereby object to the use of contact data published within the scope of the legal imprint obligation for the purpose of sending unsolicited advertising and information material. The operators of these pages expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of the unsolicited sending of marketing information, such as spam emails.
4. Data Collection on this Website
Cookies
Our web pages use so-called “cookies”. Cookies are small data packets that do not harm your device. Cookies are either stored temporarily for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (persistent cookies) on your device. Session cookies are automatically deleted after your visit. Persistent cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them yourself or until they are automatically deleted by your web browser.
Cookies can be set by us (first-party cookies) or by third-party companies (third-party cookies). Third-party cookies enable the integration of certain services from third-party companies within websites (e.g. cookies for handling payment services).
Cookies have different functions. Many cookies are technically necessary, as certain website functions would not work without them (e.g. the shopping cart function or the display of videos). Other cookies can be used to analyse user behaviour or for advertising purposes.
Cookies which are required for carrying out the electronic communication process, for providing certain functions you have requested (e.g. the shopping cart function) or for optimising the website (e.g. cookies to measure web audience) (necessary cookies) are stored on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, unless another legal basis is specified. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the storage of necessary cookies to ensure the technically error-free and optimised provision of its services. Where consent to the storage of cookies and similar recognition technologies has been requested, processing is based exclusively on this consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG); consent can be withdrawn at any time.
You can configure your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and allow cookies only in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for specific cases or in general, and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. Disabling cookies may limit the functionality of this website.
You can find which cookies and services are used on this website in this Privacy Policy.
Contact form
If you send us enquiries via the contact form, we store the information you provide in the enquiry form, including the contact details you enter there, for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We do not share this data without your consent.
The processing of this data is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, insofar as your enquiry is related to the performance of a contract or necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective handling of the enquiries addressed to us (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), where requested; consent may be withdrawn at any time.
The data you enter in the contact form will remain with us until you request erasure, withdraw your consent to storage or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g. after your enquiry has been fully processed). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular retention periods – remain unaffected.
Enquiries by email or telephone
If you contact us by email or telephone, your enquiry, including all resulting personal data (name, enquiry) will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of handling your request. We do not pass this data on without your consent.
The processing of this data is based on Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR, if your request is related to the performance of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective handling of enquiries addressed to us (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR), if this was requested; consent can be revoked at any time.
The data you send to us via contact enquiries will remain with us until you request erasure, revoke your consent to storage or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g. after your request has been fully processed). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular statutory retention periods – remain unaffected.
5. Social media
Functions of the Instagram service are integrated on this website. These functions are provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, D04 X2K5, Ireland.
If you actively select the social media element, a direct connection is established between your device and the Instagram server. Instagram thereby receives information that you have visited this website.
If you are logged into your Instagram account, you can link the content of this website to your Instagram profile by clicking the Instagram button. This enables Instagram to associate your visit to this website with your user account. We would like to point out that, as the provider of this website, we have no knowledge of the content of the transmitted data or of how it is used by Instagram.
The use of this service is based on your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and § 25 (1) TDDDG. Consent can be revoked at any time.
Where personal data is collected on our website using the tool described here and transmitted to Facebook or Instagram, we and Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland, are jointly responsible for this data processing (Art. 26 GDPR). Joint responsibility is limited exclusively to the collection of data and its transfer to Facebook and/or Instagram. The subsequent processing by Facebook or Instagram is not part of the joint responsibility. The obligations incumbent upon us jointly have been set out in an agreement on joint processing. The wording of this agreement can be found at:

According to this agreement, we are responsible for providing data protection information when using the Facebook or Instagram tool and for implementing the tool in a data protection compliant manner on our website. Facebook is responsible for the data security of Facebook and Instagram products. You can exercise your data subject rights (e.g. access requests) regarding the data processed by Facebook or Instagram directly with Facebook. If you assert your data subject rights with us, we are obliged to forward your request to Facebook.

6. Newsletter
Newsletter data
If you would like to receive the newsletter offered on the website, we require an email address from you and information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the specified email address and that you agree to receive the newsletter. Further data is either not collected or only on a voluntary basis. We use this data exclusively for sending the requested information and do not pass it on to third parties.
The processing of the data entered in the newsletter registration form is based exclusively on your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). You can revoke the consent you have given to the storage of your data and email address and their use for sending the newsletter at any time, for example via the “unsubscribe” link in the newsletter. The lawfulness of the data processing operations already carried out remains unaffected by the revocation.
The data you provide to us for the purpose of receiving the newsletter will be stored by us until you unsubscribe from the newsletter with us or the newsletter service provider and will be deleted from the newsletter distribution list after unsubscribing or once the purpose no longer applies. We reserve the right to delete or block email addresses from our newsletter distribution list at our own discretion within the scope of our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
Data that has been stored by us for other purposes remains unaffected.
After your unsubscription from the newsletter distribution list, your email address may be stored by us or the newsletter service provider in a blacklist insofar as this is necessary to prevent future mailings. The data in the blacklist will only be used for this purpose and will not be merged with other data. This serves both your interest and our interest in complying with legal requirements for sending newsletters (legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). The storage in the blacklist is not time-limited. You may object to the storage if your interests outweigh our legitimate interest.
